Tweeting It Up in KC

from Kelly M. Rivard

Networking is important in any industry, especially one as small and close-knit as agriculture! Because of that, some of the ag professionals here in Kansas City decided that an event welcoming other agricultural professions to our city was in order.

The week of the Agvocacy 2.0 conference here in Kansas City, there is another agricultural event taking place. This event, NAMA Bootcamp, is a learning experience for agricultural communications professionals involved with the National Agri-Marketing Association. Since so many great agricultural minds will be in one city, it only seems natural that we should all get together, mingle, and have a great time.

On Wednesday, August 22 at the Flying Saucer in Downtown Kansas City’s Power & Light District, organizers Jody Donohue (@Agropinion), Sami Carter (@SamiJCarter), and Kelly Rivard (@KMRivard) will be welcoming all Agvoacy 2.0 and NAMA Bootcamp attendees to the TweetUp. We would like to note that this event is open to anyone who would like to attend the TweetUp regardless of whether they are an AgChat conference or NAMA Bootcamp attendee.

Ms. Rivard be there starting at 7:30 p.m. and will have name tags and markers so that we can all get to know each other. The Flying Saucer has food and a very, very extensive drink menu, so come ready for great conversation, fun company, and delicious eats. It’s within a short walk of the AgChat conference location and is easily accessible via cab from anywhere else.

If you have any questions about the event, feel free to check out the Event on Facebook or contact Kelly via Twitter, Facebook, or kelly.m.rivard (at) gmail.com.

We hope to see you there!
