Our team has been working on this new website for a long time and while we wish it had been perfect and live on the web when the AgChat team was featured in a major news story (Farmers defend way of life with Facebook, Twitter – USATODAY.com). What a week it’s been!
Likes on our Facebook page increased as did our Twitter followers, LinkedIn group members and YouTube subscribers. As you can imagine, agchat.org got a lot of hits. And we have had more people express interest in learning more about our Foundation than we expected! Who knows what will come out of all the conversations. We hope a lot of those folks come back to see the new content we are generating and that we are featuring from farmers!
All of the attention is energizing but what we are really hoping is this has helped more farmers realize the value of telling their story the way Foundation secretary Ray Prock was doing in that article. And we hope more of the non-ag public realizes that so many farmers are out here telling their stories.
Yes, it was a good week but only a small indication of what is to come!
